  About Us

  The idea for Pay Less Tax was born out of the work conducted by one of our promoters Cathal Maxwell as a tax
  consultant.  He felt that much of the work associated with his role could be automated, greatly assisting completion of tax
  returns.  Indeed, this has been the case in the United States for quite a while with millions of people utilising on line tax
  returns software to assist them every year.

  A team of technology and commercial experts joined Cathal, and following extensive research and development, Pay
  Less Tax was designed and built.  The first live users of Version 1 of Pay Less Tax completed their returns for the 2007
  and 2008 tax years.  The feedback gained from these users was put into further system refinement and development.

  The process and tax advice are all provided by Irish tax experts.  Cathal Maxwell is tax lead in the company and has over
  30 years experience.  Cathal started his career in the Irish Revenue service. He moved on to become an Associate
  Director (tax) in a major accounting practice before setting up C. Maxwell & Associates Ltd which is a successful tax
  consulting practice.  He also owns a successful accounting practice under the style of Maxwell and Company.   Cathal is
  an associate of the Irish Tax Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

  Pay Less Tax is an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start Up.  We are Dublin based and serve a nationwide client base.
